Meditation is a very ancient practice that is simple to do and is totally in your own control. This course is taught in a practical, straightforward and gentle way using the 'mantra' technique of meditation. Your teacher Susan has many years’ experience and will guide your progress in small groups and in a very supportive and friendly environment.
Relieving stress through a meditation or mindfulness practice can bring many health benefits which are well documented in scientific literature (watch a clip from the documentary "Meditation's Impact on the Brain").
These meditation seminars and meditation workshops are not allied to any particular religion, ideology or sect. Everyone’s beliefs are treated with the utmost respect be they religious or otherwise. Meditation only opens up and deepens each persons spiritual journey.
The purpose of the meditation class is to teach you about the background and practice of meditation in a clear, enjoyable and practical way. As a result you will be able to meditate effectively and correctly by the end of the course.
Meditation is taught using a mantra, a small meaningless word (a mantra is a word which does not have any specific meaning but which facilitates a profound, deep rest).
